at CrossPointe Church, Mansfield, MA
At CrossPointe Church we run two different Divorce Care programs; the first is Divorce Care (DC) and the second is After Divorce Care (ADC)
DC (Divorce Care) is designed for people coming to terms with separation and divorce. It is a 13 week support group to find help and healing from the trauma and pain of divorce and separation. In this 13 week program we talk about issues such as children, anger, loneliness, finances, possible reconciliation, etc. Within each theme we watch videos comprised of experts in the field as well as testimonies by people who have gone through divorce and then we discuss what was said. Through this 13 week program you will find tools that you need to deal with what can seem at times to be overwhelming emotions. This programs meets most Monday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 pm at CrossPointe Church in Mansfield, MA. Child care may be available as necessary. A nominal one time fee of $15 covers materials (participant workbook).
ADC (After Divorce Care) is a support group that meets every other week, on Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm, at CrossPointe Church in Mansfield, MA. Many people feel it is helpful to go through the first 13 week program twice in order to glean all that they can from the resources provided. After the DC program, however, we often find it helpful to continue to meet to work through the very many issues and emotions that arise with divorce. ADC is the next step after completing the initial DC program. In this support group we may watch short videos on topics such as boundaries, finances, parenting, etc., and then discuss these issues as well as what is going on in our lives that week. We also have occasional guest speakers, people who have gone through divorce and are on the other side, healed and whole. We also have visits from professionals in the field such as pastors and counselors.
